That's my pawtner-in-crime Samwise in the picture with me. We are originally from Los Angeles, California, and moved to Denver to be close to family. I have been teaching in higher education since 2015 and have since taught Introduction to Journalism, Creative Writing, English Composition, and Literature courses at both community colleges and universities in California and Colorado.

As a Concurrent Enrollment Instructor here at Elizabeth High School, I teach First-Year college writing and Literature courses from Arapahoe Community College. One of my favorite things about teaching writing is that I get to partner with young writers and coach them through the joys and hardships of the craft. Writing is hard, but is also really, really fun!

I write short stories and, occasionally, poetry too. My writing has appeared in The Acentos Review, Verdad magazine, and the Santa Ana River Review, among others.

I can be reached at or at 303-646-1856, extension 8126.
