    The Health & Wellness Committee is comprised of:

    • Food Services
    • Parents
    • Teachers
    • District Nurse
    • Early Childhood Representatives

    Together committee members are striving to meet our districts and government mandated goals in order to be a Wellness District. Our goals are briefly outlined below.

    • Provide nutritional food choices for school lunches and snacks
    • Increase daily student activity
    • Incorporate health education into the curriculum

    April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

    We all play a role in preventing child abuse and neglect.

    Did you know that a report of child abuse is made every 10 seconds?  Yearly referrals to state child protective services involve 6.6 million children.  Around 3.2 million of those children are subject to an investigated report.  The Elizabeth School District Wellness Committee would like to provide information on child abuse prevention to our community members.  Please click on the link below to find out how you can do your part to prevent child abuse and neglect.
