The Horse's Mouth

Definition: To hear something "straight from the horse's mouth" means to get information directly from the most reliable, authoritative source, rather than through rumors or second-hand. It guarantees the truth or accuracy of a piece of information because it comes directly from the person who experienced it or knows it best.
Purpose for Elizabeth School District: This page is designed with accuracy and transparency in mind. In today's world, misinformation and rumors can spread rapidly and create confusion and false narratives. Our goal is to publicly address that misinformation, whether it appears on social media or elsewhere, provide transparent documentation regarding key issues and also, respond here to any inquiries you may have about the district.
Interested in addressing an issue that you would like posted here? Contact us via email with your inquiry: horsesmouth@esdk12.org (please note that with your submission, your inquiry, first name and our response will be populated here).
Your email will be forwarded to our Superintendent and Public Information Officer and will be addressed on this page. That way, you get the accurate story, "straight from the horse's mouth."
DIRECT INQUIRIES VIA EMAIL
7/1/26 inquiry:
Good evening,
I’m looking for the required DAC meetings documentation on the District webpage.
I see only one meeting with any documentation and that was from just a few weeks ago.
It is my understanding that the DAC was formed in 2023.
Do I need to CORA the meeting agendas and minutes and work product of this group or can horsesmouth provide it on their page?
Thank you for any guidance.
Susan Shick
EC resident
District response:
Hi Susan,
Thank you for reaching out. I see all agendas and minutes for last year posted under the 2025-26 DAC section of the webpage.
Please let me know if this is not what you are looking for.
Sincerely,
Ted Knight
