Welcome to ESD Health Services!

Elizabeth School District Health Service Model

Elizabeth Schools Health Services addresses the health needs of all students and staff for the Elizabeth School District. Health Services consists of one district nurse who trains school personnel in each building to implement a plan of action to ensure the safety of all the students.

All schools have an identified person who is an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) (Health Technician or Office Staff), who acts in a complementary role to the professional nurse. The nurse delegates to the UAP the general safety plans involving CPR, basic first aid, the care of students with chronic health conditions, the care of ill students, and medication administration.

DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Vision and hearing screening is conducted for students in their schools according to the Colorado Department of Education guidelines.  These guidelines indicate that students in preschool, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th grades receive vision and hearing screening. If you would NOT like your child to receive a vision and hearing screen please email the health tech in your child's building and the district nurse. Contact info can be found on the "Meet the Health Services Team" page.
