The Elizabeth School District is able to transfer student records to other school districts through Frontline or via secure email.

Notice of Destruction of Special Education Records

This notice is to inform you that special education records maintained by the Elizabeth School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or provision of special education services are scheduled for destruction in accordance with state and federal records retention requirements. Special education records must be maintained for five years after special education services have ended for a student. Services end when a student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, completes his or her educational program at age 22, or withdraws from the district. 

These records are currently stored at: 676 S. Elbert Street Elizabeth, CO 80107

Please note that transcripts for special education students will remain on file at their respective high school campuses.

While these records are no longer needed by the district after the required retention period, they may be important for future purposes such as: Social Security benefits Rehabilitation services College entrance or accommodations Other legal or personal needs
