ASPIRE Transition Program

 

 

ASPIRE TRANSITION PROGRAM     

PROGRAM GOAL 

Create independant, self-sufficient adults who have job transferable skills that allow them to work (paid or volunteer) according to their own individual and unique abilities by age 21, at the conclusion of the program.

 PROGRAM CURRICULA 


DAILY LIVING SKILLS

Meals: planning, preparation, cooking, washing dishes
Making bed, changing sheets
Laundry: washing, drying, folding an putting away
Shopping for needed items, groceries, supplies
Cleaning: vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, taking out trash

JOB AND CAREER SKILLS
Independent, appropriate behavior
Following directions
Asking for clarification or help when needed
Dependability
Work with minimal supervision for 2, 4, or more hours per day

PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY, RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES
Exercise independantly at the gym
Participate in clubs, church groups, other community groups
















APPLY LEARNED SKILLS TO JOB, HOME AND COMMUNITY SETTINGS
