Welcome to my classroom! This is my 10th year at Singing Hills Elementary School and my 7th year teaching special education at Singing Hills Elementary School. Prior to teaching, I worked as a special education para-professional for 3 years. I went to Colorado University at Boulder and received my BA in psychology. I then went back to school a few years later at Western State Colorado University and got my special education teaching certification. My husband and I have 4 wonderful boys (7, 5 and 2, and 11 months) and I am lucky enough to have two of them here with me at Singing Hills. I love being part of our Singing Hills Family, and am so excited that I get the opportunity to work with so many amazing children!

This year I will primarily be working with the SSN (Significant Support Needs) students. These students typically spread their time between the general education classroom and the special education classroom. I work very closely with the general education teachers, specials teachers and para-professionals in order to cater each students learning to their individual abilities and goals. I also work with some students with mild-moderate needs with small group instructional support for reading, writing and math.
