Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Kendra DiPaola
Hi, I'm a Midwest girl who graduated from Michgan State University in 2004. Go Green, Go White! Growing up, I lived on a lake swimming, boating, fishing and catching critters. Although I miss the water, I love the sunshine and activity of the outdoors here in Colorado. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, as they bring me so much therapy. I owned a horse named Penny for 15 years in Michigan, which makes Elizabeth my happy country place. Currently I own a sweet little tuxedo boston terrier named Onyah, who is my third baby.
After graduation, I taught kindergarten in Michigan for two years, teaching a diverse group of children with different cultural backgrounds and languages. I moved to Colorado for adventure, as I've been bitten by the travel bug, visiting several countries, going multiple times abroad. I'm a returning teacher to Singing Hills Elementary. At SHE I taught second grade from 2008-2012 & first grade from 2012-2013. I decided to take time off to fulfill a cornerstone of my heart, as I've always dreamed of staying home with my children as babies. I have two beautiful daughters, Sariyah and Everly, who are my best blessings in life. During my time staying home, I was a part of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) for 5 years, and served as a table leader helping new mothers adjust to parenting. My heart is not only being a mommy, but also teaching our future generations. Being an elementary school teacher is a passion that truly fills my soul. I enjoy creating a classroom family where children feel safe coming to school to learn, to take risks, and have fun learning through creativity. I believe all students can be successfull by empowering children through high expectations by showing respect to our classroom promises, leadership roles, routines/procedures, songs, technology, games, rewards, and collaborative projects. Communication between teacher, student and parent is key to make this year a great success! I look forward getting to know you and your children over the next school year!
