  • Parents,

Thank you for your patience as we figure out our online learning.

Kindergarten will use a mixture of online resources and worksheet packets. We will also be communicating very frequently through Class Dojo.

Packets will be available for pickup on starting Tuesday, March 24th from 8 am to 2 pm. You may pick up packets in the office.

There are three websites that are part of your child’s online assignments. We will be using Moby Max primarily for math. (https://www.mobymax.com/signin) Amplify reading  ( www.reading.amplify.com ) will be used for language arts and students will be reading free decodable books on Flyleaf ( https://portal.flyleafpublishing.com/learners-resources/. ) In addition, assignments, lessons, and videos will be posted daily on Class Dojo.

Individual usernames and passwords are included in the learning packets that are available Tuesday morning beginning at 10 am.

In addition to these websites, we are also including several optional fun online resources. Please feel free to explore any of these and tell us all about the things you have learned!

Mondays will be used for teacher collaboration and planning. Day one on the learning calendar is intended for TUESDAY, while day five is the following Monday.  There are times your child will be asked to record an activity or to take a picture of a completed assignment. We understand that this may not be possible for all families.  We appreciate that students are completing all possible work given their circumstances.

Teachers will be holding office hours daily and providing you with a number to call should you have any questions or need to communicate.

In addition to these websites, we are also including several optional fun online resources. Please feel free to explore any of these and tell us all about the things you have learned!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.

    Thanks,

    The Kindergarten Team

  • Kindergarten Families,

We hope that your families are safe and well. We know this is a stressful time for everyone. Please know that your Singing Hills family loves you and misses your students. We wish that we could be with our kindergarten class today!.

Over the next couple of days, you will be receiving several e-mails that will explain how kindergarten is planning on rolling out our on-line learning. Thank you for your patience as we give you so much information.  We are all getting used to a new way of doing things and we don’t want you to worry! We are here to support you! We will be maintaining consistent contact with our families, and we will do our best to answer any questions that may come up.

The online learning assignments and paper learning packets are intended to support your child until we can return to the normalcy of school. We understand that there are many things going on right now, and we so appreciate all of the ways you continue to support your child’s education.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns regarding schoolwork or any other support your family may need at this time.

As always, we are proud to be a part of this community and know we will continue to take care of each other.

    Sincerely,

    Singing Hills Kindergarten Team

Mrs. Carlisle

Welcome to Kindergarten!

I am excited to have your child in my class! Kindergarten is such an important year to build a strong foundation for our children.  I am excited to be a part of your child's many educational, fun and rewarding experiences that we will share together.  I am looking forward to a very successful year and I know you are too.

This is my 1st year teaching at Singing Hills Elementary.  I worked with Kindergarten in another district for the past 2 years.

I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved to Colorado 4 years ago.  My family and I love it here!!  I have been married for 18 years to my husband, Trevis.  We have 4 children.  My oldest, Brawn, is 16 and is starting his Junior year of high school.  My daughter, Alexis, is 14 and is starting her Freshman year of high school.  My son, Ethan, is 12 and is a 7th grader in middle school.  My daughter, Abby, is 10 and is a 5th grader!  I love spending time with my family and watching my kids participate in their different activities.

I believe in the importance of teamwork and encourage all of you to email me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Carla Carlisle
