Buenos!  Hello !  I am quite excited about being a Spanish teacher at Elizabeth High School. Learning another language is one of the healthiest things that you can do for your brain!!  Science has shown that it helps younger people develop more mental flexibitly and critical thinking skills, while for the older crowd (me included ! ) it has been shown to stimulate neural development and forestall the natural mental effects of aging on the brain. 

I have been studying Spanish for over 40 years and have taught Spanish for over 8 years. My last teaching job was in  the Adams 12 School District in Thornton, Colorado. For the past 3 years I taught grades K-5 in a large elementary school.  I really loved teaching at the elementary grades but I have to admit that I am so thrilled to be back in a high school setting, especially Elizabeth High School. It is such a beautiful school. 

 Your safety and happiness are of utmost importance to me.  I will do my best to make your Spanish adventure rigourous and yet fun.
