Parents and students-

    Welcome to the 2021/2022 school year. My name is Chelsey Barnes and I will be working with students in kindergarten through 5th grade in the Affective Needs Program. This is my second year at Running Creek Elementary and I am very excited to be here. I have worked in Special Education and Affective needs in schools in Douglas County and Denver Districts prior to coming to Elizabeth school district. I was also an Early Childhood educator for 13 years before I became a Special Education teacher. 

I live in Castle Rock and I have a son who attends Mesa Middle school. My son stays very busy with Football, Baseball, and Basketball. I enjoy camping, fishing, attending my son's sporting events, and being with family and friends.
