Welcome scholars!

I am very excited about starting the 2022-23 school year with our 7th graders at Elizabeth Middle School! This is my 2nd year teaching at EMS and my 8th year teaching middle school language arts. I recently moved to Colorado last summer, having spent 6 years in Arizona. My husband and I are slowly exploring the area around us and keep falling in love with the state. My passion is reading and writing, but more importantly, helping every student discover their inner author and becoming confident in their ability to express their thoughts. 

When I am not in my classroom, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and crocheting. Plus, coming from Phoenix, I am REALLY enjoying this weather and being outside!

PS:  Since my last name can be slightly intimidating, it is pronounced Duh - Lease.   Don't ever be afraid or embarrassed of getting it wrong. It took me a long while to get used to it too!
