Hundreds roll into town for inaugural EHS car show
Sept. 21, 2022
The inaugural Elizabeth High School Car Show was a huge success according to its lead organizer and auto shop instructor Derek Spohn. An estimated 200-250 cars and trucks were shown on Saturday, Sept. 17, and roughly 100 spectators stopped by the high school parking lot to see them. The event raised more than $3,300 for the brand-new auto program at EHS.
“The students that organized and ran the show did a great job of staying on top of all the details,” Spohn said. “Our Skills Club officers were standouts as they handled themselves well, demonstrating leadership and professionalism.
“There are too many people to thank, so I think it's best to just say ‘Thank You’ to our supportive parents and community members for their continued support.”
