FOUR IN A ROW! Gymnastics team extends dynasty at state
4-PEAT!!!! The Elizabeth High School gymnastics team won its fourth Class 4A championship in a row on Friday in Thornton, setting a new all-time team high score (which broke the record set just last week at regionals) with 182.025 team points.
All six seniors – Bethany Breikss, Samantha Davidson, Emme Dunn, Sydney Kissinger, Madison Montoya and Mira Wolitzky – qualified for event finals on Saturday.
Every gymnast on the current team has ended the season as a state champion for her entire time in high school. The Cardinals have now won state titles in 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2012, 2010 and 2009. That’s eight titles in 13 years under Head Coach Stacey Folmar.
Here are the team scores from Friday, followed by individual scores on Saturday. All scores and photos courtesy of Laura Kissinger.
