EHS players, coach win at All-State Volleyball

Elizabeth High School graduates Jordan Martinez and Lauren Rohlwing recently played on the 2024 Colorado High School Coaches Association All-State Volleyball Games June 13-14 in Pueblo.

CHSCA Coaches from across Colorado voted for the top Class of 2024 athletes to compete a final time against the best in their sport.

Jordan and Lauren were selected to compete on the Red Team with players from Ft. Lupton, Dove Creek, Aspen, Plateau Valley, Stratton, Hoehne and Idalia. The event was made even more special with EHS Head Coach Tracy Wait selected by CHSCA to be one of the Red Team coaches. Over two days they practiced and bonded before taking on the rest of the best volleyball seniors in Colorado.

"The Red Team dominated the competition in their Day 1 match, putting them in the championship match versus the Black Team on Day 2," Wait said. "The firepower and defense of the Red Team overwhelmed the Black Team and they took the 2024 CHSCA Championship!

"Both Jordan and Lauren played amazing, high-level volleyball to finish their high school volleyball careers with a decisive victory!" he said.

Thanks to Coach Wait for the information and photos.

Even more photos of the games are on the CHSCA Facebook page.
