Masks required for all unvaccinated individuals in schools
May 16, 2021
Dear Elizabeth Parents and Guardians,
On Friday, the mask-wearing requirement for Colorado was amended by Executive Order D 2021 103.
The amended Executive Order states that any fully vaccinated individual may go without any type of face covering in any setting, including schools, with certain exceptions.
Masks are still required in schools for unvaccinated students, teachers, and staff. The order requires unvaccinated people who are 11 years and older to wear a mask over their noses and mouths in schools, including extracurricular activities.
Executive Orders have the force of law and will be followed by the school district for the remainder of the school year.
We appreciate your cooperation during the last week of school. Your support has been essential in safely providing in-person learning. Thank you.
Best regards,
Douglas
