• 7th & 8th Robotics

    Welcome to the basics of Robotics.

    • All students must complete and turn in both the Engineering Student Safety Contract and the Robotics Syllabus before working with the robotic and computer equipment.  
    • Students will break into teams of 2-3 only. These will be your teams for the class. Choose your team members wisely.
    • There are to be 9 teams of three and each team will select the computer they will work on for the semester. ( NO CHANGING COMPUTERS WITHOUT PERMISSION).
    • Robotic projects will be stored in the office on the white shelf.

     

    Projects

    * Teams need to sign up for a team number and get their programmable Lego NXT Brick and select their computer.

    January 13-24, 2025

    *Teams build your first robot

    • Teams need to log in to their computer and open the Lego NXT program and start working on the tutorials ( Common Palette 1-20) ( Complete Palette 21-39).

    Robot Challenges ( 30 points each)

    • Robot challenge #1 Follow black line.
    • Robot Challenge #2 Wall bump & back up.
    • Robot challenge #3  Hit red ball / Do not hit blue ball
    • Robot challenge #4 Slalom Challenge
    • Robot challenge #5 Pick up red ball and move to different location
    • Robot challenge #6 Robot follows sound  ( Voice / Clapping) across the room.
    • Robot Challenge #7  Slalom , pickup blue ball and return through slalom to the starting point.
