Welcome students and families to the 2023-2024 school year!

I’m very excited to welcome you to Singing Hills! I am excited for this new school year as the Dean of Students and I can't wait to make connections with all of the elementary students and families this year. I’m sure we’ll get to know each other over the course of the school year, but I want to tell you a little more about myself. This is my tenth year in the Elizabeth School District. Last year was my first year as the Elementary Dean of Students. For my first eight years, I was a teacher at Singing Hills, teaching both 4th and 5th grade. I recently completed my second master's degree in Leadership in Educational Organizations with Principal Licensure from UC Denver.

Before coming to SHE, I worked as an educational assistant at Cherokee Trail Elementary in Parker for two years, working with students on reading and math. While working at Cherokee Trail, I completed my first master’s degree in Elementary Education through the University of Northern Colorado Denver campus, and student taught in 4^th grade at Cherokee Trail. Through the master’s program I have also worked with 4^th grade students at both William Roberts School in Denver and Highline Elementary School in Aurora. Prior to that, I had previously earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, with a minor in History, from Colorado State University.

I currently live in Aurora with my husband. I have two sisters, one of which is my twin (although we don’t look alike). Two of my favorite things to do during my free time include going to the movies and hanging out with my niece and nephews.
