Ms. Spence

Welcome students and parents to the 2021-2022 school year!

I’m very excited to welcome you to 4th grade!  I’m sure we’ll get to know each other over the course of the school year, but I want to tell you a little more about myself.  This is my eighth year at Singing Hills. I taught 5th grade for two years and this is my sixth year teaching 4th!  Before coming to SHE, I worked as an educational assistant at Cherokee Trail Elementary in Parker for two years, working with students on reading and math.  While working at Cherokee Trail, I completed my master’s degree in Elementary Education through the University of Northern Colorado Denver campus, and student taught in 4th grade at Cherokee Trail.  Through the master’s program I have also worked with 4th grade students at both William Roberts School in Denver and Highline Elementary School in Aurora.

I had previously earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, with a minor in History, from Colorado State University.  I have lived in Parker most of my life, so I know the area very well.  I have two sisters, one of which is my twin (although we don’t look alike).  Two of my favorite things to do during my free time include going to the movies and hanging out with my eleven year old niece, Alyse, and my six year old nephew, Carter.

I am so happy to be a part of the Singing Hills community and look forward to a great year!  The best mode of contact for me throughout the year will be through email at
