Dear Parents,

Hello, I am excited to be in your child’s classroom and to get to know each of you. I cannot wait to get started. Let me tell you a little about myself.  This is my 16th year teaching, with most of my experience being Preschool. I have my Master’s in Elementary Education, and I have a passion for young students. I have a fun sense of humor to go with it. I have lived in Colorado almost my whole life. I have two boys and a boxer named Marley. They are Seventeen and Thirteen and the boxer is 8. I enjoy going to the pool, reservoir, reading, hiking, dancing in my kitchen, walking my dog, spending time with my family, traveling and SCUBA diving. The beach is my happy place. I spent most of the summer working and getting ready to start this new opportunity.   

A typical day will have these sections: Morning Message, Structured Literacy, Reading Groups, CKLA, Lunch, Recess, writing, Math, Specials, Science/Social Studies, Brain Break/Recess and then Pack Up to go home. We will go to the library and have other special events throughout the year.

We will be earning hat days, pizza, ice cream and popsicles parties, along with lunch with the teacher based on our behavior. Listen for update on when we have earned them.

We will use Class Dojo for behavior and constant communication along with google classroom. Please let me know if you prefer paper copies.

Also, let me know if you are interested in volunteering in the class we are welcoming any support. We just have to make sure to not have too many adults in the room at one time so we will need to create a schedule.
