Welcome Turtle Families
Ms. Amanda and Ms. Joan are pleased to have you in her classroom!
Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment using structured activities and play-based experiences to prepare children for life-long learning. We use a theme-based curriculum, which is research-based and developmentally appropriate. Our program utilizes Teaching Strategies GOLD to assess, monitor, and track the growth of each student while providing all-inclusive instruction to meet the individual goals of each student.
We offer a full-day program.
Monday through Thursday 7:45am- 3:15pm.
What Turtles Are Learning
-
Our study focus for December will be Winter Celebrations and Breads/Cooking. We will explore how people around the world celebrate their holidays, including food, music, art and dance. We are sending home a survey, and we are asking you to share your holiday traditions with us. We will be sharing these in the classroom with all of our students. Does your child have a favorite holiday food or cookie/bread? If so, will you please share your recipe or cookbook?
This month we will be learning about the letters S, J and D. The numbers we are learning are 11, 12 and 13. Our shapes are stars, trapezoids and heart. The colors are yellow, green, and red.
