Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome Turtle Families
Miss Amanda is pleased to have you in her classroom!
Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment using structured activities and play-based experiences to prepare children for life-long learning. We use a theme-based curriculum, which is researched-based and developmentally appropriate. Our program utilizes Teaching Strategies GOLD to assess, monitor, and track the growth of each student while providing all-inclusive instruction to meet the individual goals of each student.
We offer a full-day program. Before and after care is available for an additional fee.
Monday through Friday 8a-3p.
What Turtles Are Learning
For this month our theme will begin with our tree study, fall, five senses, and pumpkins. We will read books and do activities to learn about these concepts.
We will continue to do a weekly science project for Wacky Wednesday and hands-on art projects with cutting and glue.
We are working on holding scissors, crayons, and pencils correctly. Our thumb goes up when we’re holding scissors, and we say, “Alligator, Alligator, pinch, pinch, pinch” to help us remember how to correctly hold crayons, etc. This is important in the development of our writing skills.
We are also taking a field trip to the firehouse.
We will be walking across the field, so please make sure we wear appropriate shoes. You are welcome to join us.
Please look for an email from Sign-up Genius for you to sign up for your conference.
