EnrichmentAdvanced Learning Plan (ALP)
In fourth and fifth grades students are formally identified for an Advanced Learning Plan. This plan is designed to enrich and extend the regular classroom curriculum as well as challenge students to think critically and develop higher level thinking skills. Lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of each student. Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) will be conducted through the classroom teacher and the Gifted/Talented Liaison.Intervention Programs
Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)
How do we support students if they do not know the essential learnings and targets for their grade level? How do we support students that already know the essential learnings and targets for their grade level prior to instruction?
Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) is an approach that promotes a well-integrated system connecting general, compensatory, gifted, and special education in providing high quality, standards-based instruction, and intervention that is matched to students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
Our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) process allows us the opportunity to work collaboratively with parents to help meet the individual needs of students based on their academic performance and/or behavior/social/emotional needs.Special Education Services
Students on Individualized Education Plans are supported by assigned special education case managers and in accordance with regular classroom teachers.
