Elizabeth High School Performing Arts Department offers classes in a variety of performing arts disciplines, including vocal music, instrumental music, and theatre. Some of the offerings include concert band, jazz band, orchestra, dance, choir, technical and performance theatre, and more! The courses incorporate studying the concepts, theory, and history of the various disciplines of performing arts. Students learn through listening, discussing, playing, creating and performing.

The Performing Arts program provides beneficial, educational, and accessible experiences for a diverse population of young people. The program ranges from beginners just starting in the arts to those talented high school students looking to immerse themselves in the performing arts and to further develop their skills and abilities.

The enthusiasm and commitment of the staff and students lead to academic excellence. Students gain experiences that stimulate learning and spark creativity and imagination. Arts can play a vital role in helping young people develop a greater appreciation for learning.

Our students perform locally, around the Denver metro area and throughout the state in concerts, festivals, musicals, and competitions. We’re known for our outstanding musical performances including; "Disney's Beauty and the Beast," "Once Upon a Mattress," and "Damn Yankees," and for our comedies such as "The Odd Couple" and "The Canterville Ghost". Theatre director, Jennifer Barclay was recognized for her excellence in costuming at the Bobby G Awards 2022, a state level competition for theatre. The state finalist, regional champion Cardinal Pride Marching Band has also earned acclaim throughout Colorado. The vocal and instrumental music departments participated in the Winter Park Ski and Music Festival in 2022 in which the Chamber Choir and Orchestra won Grand Champion of the festival.
