Welcome to the Instrumental Music website!

My name is Carson Powell and I have been teaching at Elizabeth High School since Fall 2019! I grew up in Windsor, Colorado and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education in May 2019. My primary instruments are euphonium and trombone. I have performed in many ensembles in the 13 years I have been playing, including the Pride of the Rockies Marching Band and the U.S. Navy Band (as a guest). I currently reside in Castle Rock, Colorado where I love to hike, watch movies, and attend concerts of many different genres. Music is my greatest passion and I am eager to share it with you all!

I direct the Cardinal Pride Marching Band, Concert Band, Concert Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble. I also teach Small Ensembles, AP Music Theory, conduct the pit orchestra for the spring musical, and direct the Basketball Band!
