• Homework/Classwork Expectations and Routines

    • If you miss class, please check Google Classroom.  The agenda for the day will be posted each day along with supporting materials.
    • The course guide states the expected homework for both Regular Physical Science is 50 minutes per week.  The homework is to study 10 minutes per night (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) as the brain learns best with short frequent study sessions.
    • Studying should have an output such as recopying notes, typing notes, making and using flashcards, making a concept map, etc.  Reading your notes has been shown to be the least effective way to study.  Make that 10 minutes count!
    • Weekly maintenance of a planner is required and is a weekly grade, it will not be accepted after Friday.
    • Your journal is due on Monday or Tuesday as soon as we finish going over the warm ups.
    • Every Thursday or Friday, you will take a progressive quiz which will cover all the notes for the semester.
    • Notes Quizzes will be given the next day that we have class after the notes are given.
    • When grades are entered into Infinite Campus, a “Missing” will be entered if there is no grade for the assignment.  EHS handbook excused absence policy will be followed for accepting make up work.  Late work will only be accepted for one week after which the assignment is listed as "missing". After one week the grade will be changed to a zero, which can no longer be made up.
