• Welcome to CP Chemistry! Chemistry has a reputation for being hard, so I commend your choice, especially with the extra challenge of CP. I've studied chemistry quite a lot and can tell you that yes, it can be quite the challenge. I look forward to working with you to overcome any challenges you run into and sending you out into the world prepared for those aspects that are chemistry related.

If you've looked at the Chemistry syllabus or talked to anyone in Chemistry, you may have noticed that first semester looks very similar. This is by design; we start off learning what I like to think of as chemistry vocabulary (electrons, atoms, molecules and salts, etc.). This will be largely conceptual with a little math. Those studies in equilibrium, acids and bases, and thermochemistry in second semester will be much more math intensive.

For more details on course content, grading, etc., please see the course syllabus.

    Again, welcome to CP Chemistry!
