World Geography
Welcome to EHS' World Geography course web page. This semester, we will explore the two branches of geography, physical and human geography, and the many related areas associated with each. Geography goes well beyond maps, land, and the locations of countries, cities, and mountains. The students will be challenged to consider why certain areas were settled, how expansion was influenced, how geography influences the economy and trade, differing global climates, land features, and the many other wonders and discoveries that can be made by studying and understanding world geography. Geography influences so many decisions: political, economic, social, and environmental. Students are encouraged to share their perspectives on current global events through class discussions and daily warm-up exercises.
Through multiple teaching techniques, instruction is designed to meet the unique learning styles of each student. The coordinated use of independent work and group projects promotes independent and collaborative learning. Each student is encouraged to explore the content presented, conduct further research, and stay informed about the current events occurring globally, therefore developing their unique perspective and insight into important topics.
I look forward to partnering with the parents and students to achieve amazing growth and develop the critical thinking skills necessary for the 21st century. I always welcome feedback, comments, and questions from parents. The best way to contact me is by email: edunham@esdk12.org

Regarding long-term projects or assignments, given three or more weeks before the due date, late work will not be accepted.
