    COURSE DESCRIPTION:

    CP Biology is a year long course aimed at students gaining a better understanding of science issues through the study of life.  

     

    COURSE OBJECTIVE:

    Students will explore and learn about living things, develop an understanding about the relationships between living organisms, conduct labs, and investigate the commonality and classification of organisms. The student will investigate specific topics related to cell structure and function, organisms in their environment, taxonomy, natural selection, genetics and development, photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Homework expectations: Students can expect 15 to 30 minutes of homework each class.

    RECOMMENDED GRADES:   10

    PREREQUISITES:   “C” or higher in CP Physical Science or recommendation from current Physical Science teacher.
