    COURSE DESCRIPTION:

    An exploration of professional, analytical science with a focus on water. Students are required to earn their River Science certificate. 

     

    COURSE OBJECTIVE:

    A science course focused primarily on analytical, water chemistry with an emphasis on water quality testing. This course will include year-long field work as a local creek is sampled and monitored. Additional topics include extractions, separations, and quantification of contaminants in water.

     

    OPEN TO GRADES:   11, 12

    RECOMMENDED GRADES:   11, 12

    PREREQUISITES:  Environmental or environmental co-enrollment, CP Bio, Chemistry, or CP Chemistry with a C or higher or teacher recommendation.

    MAY REPEAT FOR CREDIT:  No
