Environmental Science is a year long hands-on course to study societal and biological principles impacting humans and natural systems on Earth.
COURSE OBJECTIVE:
This course will cover sustainability, river watch, water, fire ecology, endangered species, and, climate change. This course offers an overview of topics and disciplines needed to understand the environmental issues and challenges of today’s world. The course will integrate aspects of biology, earth science, and chemistry through laboratory investigation, and field work. Specific topics will include climate change, preserving biodiversity, fire ecology, and global change.
Homework Expectations: Students can expect homework each class amounting to 1 hour per week.

PREREQUISITES: Biology, must have completed fall semester of Environmental to be enrolled in spring semester
