    COURSE DESCRIPTION:

    Designed for students to continue on in 3D art independently as well as learning other areas of the art world.

     

    COURSE OBJECTIVE:

    In this course, advanced students will focus on portfolio development as they continue to develop skills in producing high quality works of art. Emphasis is placed on creating more complex visual statements. A wide range of design concepts and processes will be further explored, and students will have the opportunity to focus on a chosen subject. This is a preparatory class for juniors desiring to participate in Advanced Placement Studio Art in their senior year. Students will work on teacher guided projects developing their skills, techniques and work habits for a stronger, more successful AP experience. Students will start to develop a portfolio that shows breadth. Students will also have the opportunity to intern with community Design leaders and learn more about careers in the design fields. This class is designed as a semester class, so if students plan on taking the AP Studio Art.

    RECOMMENDED GRADES:   11, 12

    PREREQUISITES:  Foundational 3D and Intermediate 3D
