Elizabeth High School

Students will cover the early history of theatre and the people who influenced it. Students are required to memorize scenes and study the basics of beginning acting. Students read and evaluate plays, as well as, learn the styles and types of plays performed. Students will also study the process of play evaluation. Students will prepare multiple performance pieces which involve script analysis and understanding of the genres and styles of theatre they are performing. Students will learn the basic terminology used by actors and directors of theater.
