Elizabeth High School

During this introductory class, students will learn the science of welding and the art of metal fabrication. Using the recently purchased and donated equipment, students will learn to weld using name brand MIG, TIG and Stick welders, as well as their safe and proper use. Welding techniques and welder settings will be taught and implemented. While classroom instruction makes up 30% of the class, the remaining 70% will be spent working in the shop and outdoor welding area. Students are required to purchase leather work gloves for this class. All welding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be supplied.
